Her mother [Mary Teresa Sullivan Cudahy] was the eldest of seven children born in Tuosist, Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland to Mr. & Mrs. Michael [Julia Doyle] Sullivan (Gow), her siblings were: Johanna [Josephine] Sullivan, Margaret Sullivan, Patrick F. Sullivan, Eleanor 'Nell' Sullivan O'Connell, John J. Sullivan and Michael F. Sullivan - all nine of whom came to the Hempstead, Nassau, New York area in the mid to late 1880's. Julia Cudahy/Cuddihy Hacke was the eldest of eight children; James Cudahy, Mary 'Mame' Cudahy Joyce, Michael F. Cudahy, Catherine Cudahy, Josephine Cudahy, Helen Cudahy and unknown Cudahy twins. She met, John 'Hans' Hacke who was born in Germany in New York and married. Together they had four children: John Hacke, Eleanore Hacke Hallick, Eileen Hacke Matzen and Mary Teresa Hacke.
