KOMAR- Richard J., 58, of Little Falls died Saturday.
Born in Passaic, Mr. Komar was raised in Clifton and lived there before moving to Little Falls 36 years ago. He enjoyed a successful 35 year career in finance with several area firms including Ten Hoeve Co. and Collezione Europa Furniture Co.
Mr. Komar was a Member, former Deacon and Chairman of the Endowment Fund of Second Reformed Church of Little Falls. He earned his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his Certified Public Account certification. He was a member of the American Institute and New Jersey Society of CPAs and a passionate golfer.
He was predeceased by his father, Daniel Komar, Sr. and by his brother, Daniel Komar, Jr.
Mr. Komar was the beloved husband of the former Candace DeYoung; loving and involved father and grandfather to his two daughters, Pamela Komar Lieberman and her husband, Rhett of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Kimberly Komar and her husband, Brant Peterson of Denver, Co. and his two grandchildren, Alex and Samuel; loving son of Doris (Fetco) Jensen and dear brother of Doreen Cantido, both of Fresno, Ca. and survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St. Little Falls. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Eagle Rescue Squad, PO Box 203, Little Falls, NJ 07424, Endowment Fund of Second Reformed Church, 6 Walnut St., Little Falls, NJ 07424 or DKMS Americas Foundation, 33 East 33rd St., Suite 501, NY, NY 10016 would be appreciated.
