Son of Rev. William and Maria Katherina Laber Werner; Beloved father of Cassie Neumann, Johnny Werner, Carrie Werner, Rolf Werner, Kurt Werner, William Werner and Ann Stevens, John immigrated to America in 1914 as a child with his Volga German family, settling in Colorado and Wyoming.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a loving father and grandfather. By way of his entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic and positive attitude for life, he built many successful businesses. During retirement he focused his time on family, friends, and his passion for genealogy.
He will rest next to his mother in Longmont, CO at Mountain View Cemetery without formal service as he wished. Published in Denver Post on March 28, 2010
