Crofoot Hutchins (Alta, CA), Edwin John Crofoot, III (Sacramento) and Eve Marie Grove (San Jose del Cabo, BCS Mexico); also survived by grandchildren Ryan Hastings Phillips, Vanessa Nadine Phillips, Edwin John Crofoot IV, Douglas Herberger, Kyle Reese Crofoot, Emma Marie Grove and Madeline Jane Grove; step-children Kurt ZuTavern, Brenda McClure and Steve McClure; step-grandchildren Amanda and Joseph Jessal; and step-great-grandchild Thomas Jessal.
Tad graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School (1952) and Cornell University School of Hotel Administration (1959); additional education at San Antonio Military Academy, Admiral Farragut Naval Academy, Texas Military Institute and University of Miami. He received an honorable discharge as Sergeant from U.S Marine Corps, 1st Marine Division, having served one tour in Korea. Tad's local business affiliations included President, Golden State Bottling Company; Vice President of Operations, Pacific Hosts, Inc.; President, Auto Bath, Inc.; owner, Pacific Interiors. Fraternal organizations were Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Franklin Lodge #143 Free and Accepted Masons, Sacramento Scottish Rite Bodies, Sacramento York Rite Bodies, and Ben Ali Shrine Temple as a veteran member of the Wrecking Crew, Royal Order of Jesters Court 119, and 1985 Potentate of Ben Ali Shrine.
