He had worked as the parts manager for Reed Equipment Inc. for many years and also retired from the Spotsylvania County Schools. He was a past Post Commander for the Spotsylvania American Legion, Post # 320, and a member of the Honor Guard.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a sister.
Graveside services conducted with full military honors and American Legion rites on Thursday, May 6, 2010.
