Dorothy (Donkelaar) Howard
Dorothy Howard passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was 78. Born in Auburn, WA on Dec. 1, 1925.
She married Glen Howard on October 12, 1946. They had five children. They moved to Bellingham from Kent, WA in 1973. All who knew her will miss her strength, warmth, and unselfishness. Her housekeeping, cooking, baking and gardening skills were extraordinary. Everyone who entered mom's kitchen was welcomed with open arms and a good home cooked meal. Even after losing her eyesight two years ago she lived independently and very seldom missed her weekly hair appointment with her friends at Moderne Beauty Shop in Lynden. She seemed to always make the best of her situation.
Her husband, Glen, in 1995 preceded Dorothy in death...
