A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23 from Cross Roads Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Born in Ruby, Mrs. Hancock was a daughter of the late James William and Cora Steen Crawley. She was a homemaker and former kindergarten worker at Ruby Elementary School. She was a former secretary of the Black Creek Precinct for many years and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday School Teacher, WMU secretary and choir member. She was first married to the late Dock Gilbert "Gib" Jordan and then to the late Robert Smiley Hancock.
