"MRS. FOERDERER'S DEATH
Mrs. Augusta J. Foerderer, widow of the late Edward Foerderer, Sr., and mother of Congressman Foerderer, died on Thursday at her residence. No, 1831 Franklin street, after an illness of only a few hours, although she had been in failing health for several months. Mrs. Foederer, who was in her 70th year, was born in Germany and came to America a few years after her marriage, settling in Philadelphia, which has since been her home. She was a splendid type of old German school, combining industry, thrift and spirit with a womanly dignity. She was for many years a member of Zion's Lutheran Church and identified with several charitable organizations to which she devoted much of her time. She is survived by two sons, Robert H. and Edward.

"FOERDERER - On May 16, August J. Foerderer, nee Oehme, widow of the late Edward Foerderer, in her 70th year. Funeral on Monday afternoon, at 1 o'clock, from 1931 North Franklin street. Members of the societies of which she was a member invited. Interment at Mt. Vernon Cemetery."
