Hi Anne, I saw your submission to FindAGrave about Jacob Unger and his wife. I did research on them since Jacob Unger was the Guardian of one of the Stover girls who married into the Bushong family. I'm not sure how you determined that the maiden name of Jacob Unger's wife was Swartzer but I believe that is incorrect. See below.

Boschong Subscribers, Here is a little further research on Jacob Unger,
the Guardian of Anna Stover, d/o David Stover and unknown wife.

Jacob Unger was the Guardian of some of David Stover's younger children,
one of which was Anna Stover who married John Bushong. Interestingly enough,
there is very little evidence of any Ungers including Jacob Unger living
in Shenandoah County except for the few entries in the Marriage Bond and the
Minute Book around the same time frame of 1800-1804. I believe they were
just passing through Virginia from Pennsylvania for a few years before moving
on to Columbiana County, Ohio. If you check the LDS site you will see that
most of the Unger were either born in Germany, Pennsylvania or Ohio. None
in Virginia. There don't seem to be any Chancery Records on the Unger
surname in Virginia either.

Jacob Unger, the Guardian, was born in Pennsylvania in 1774 and he is found
in Columbiana County, Ohio in the 1850 census living with his wife Mary
Ann Stover, the older sister of Anna Stover. She did not need a Guardian as
she was aged 24-25 in 1804 when Guardianship was established in Shenandoah
County, VA and the reason Jacob Unger was made Guardian was because he had
married one of David Stover's older daughters, Mary Ann.

ANOTHER NOTE:
Using the date of 16 November 1789 which every Bushong researcher quotes
for the birth of Anna Stover, daughter of David, and the date of her
death as 8 June 1849 she would have been 59 years 8 days and 7 months making
her 59 years at the time of her death and her birth date as 31 October 1789.
On Anna Bushong's tombstone it states her age as 60 years which is on her
tombstone. In otherwords, the tombstone does not match the birth date quoted
for Anna Stover, wife of John Bushong.
