Frieda Centner Kunze was born in Berlin, Germany, Feb. 17, 1878, and passed away April 18, 1927, aged 49 years, 2 months and 1 day.
She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and three daughters, Rose and Elsie at home and Mrs. Margaret Mcinnis, and one grand child. She also leaves her aged father and two brothers, all living in Chicago.
When eleven years of age she came to this country with her parents and settled in Chicago, where she was married to C. H. Kunze and where they lived until sixteen years ago, when they moved to Wichita, living there until eleven years ago when they came to Newton and have resided here since.
When a young girl in Chicago she joined the German Lutheran church and was a faithful member ever since.
During her long sickness and intense suffering with cancer, she was always patient and expressed her hope and faith in her maker, as her bible was her daily companion, and her last audible prayer a few moments before she passed away was,"Jesus, I come."
She was a loving wife and a wonderful mother to her daughters. Everything that loving hands could do was done for her, but her Heavenly Father knew best, and after her years of suffering she went to her home to Glory, there to wait the arrival of her loved ones to meet her.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Methodist church and were conducted by Rev. D. H. Switzer. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
