DUWE SERVICES HELD SATURDAY

Funeral services were held from the Tuecke funeral chapel for Chris Duwe, 71, who died of cerebral hemmoraghe last Wednesday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. E. W. Kraemer, pastor of St. John American Lutheran church.

Burial was in the City cemetery with the following as pallbearers: Raymond Duwe, Howard Duwe, Richard Duwe and Milton Duwe.

Mr. Duwe was born July 5, 1889 in Jefferson Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Diedrich Duwe. He married Elizabeth Schoper and the couple were the parents of twin sons. Mrs. Duwe died in July, 1942.

Surviving Mr. Duwe are his two sons, Vernon Duwe of Weeping Water, Nebraska and Veryl Duwe, at home. Also surviving are a brother, Matt Duwe of Guttenberg, and one grandson.

Mr. Duwe, a lifelong resident of the community, was an active farmer to the time of his death.
