Bertha Bailey Dies,
Aged 79;
Rites Saturday
Bertha Bailey, 79, an employee of the Burson Knitting company for 55 years, died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in Rockford Memorial hospital, where she had been a patient since Oct. 18.
Miss Bailey was born in New Milford, the daughter of Norton G. and Etta Bailey. She came to Rockford with her parents as a child and attended schools here. She had been honored by the Burson Knitting company several times during her many years of service with the firm, and was presented a wrist watch when she completed her 50th year there. She was a member of Grace Methodist church.
