A lifetime Haskell County resident, Mr. Meairs was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda L. Meairs of Sublette; a son, James Meairs of Sublette; two daughters, Terry Phoenix of Sublette and Sandra Lingg of Stockton; a brother, Earl Meairs, of Sublette; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Meairs; four sisters, Betty Watson, Electa Chaloupek, Viola Near and Helen Geist; and one step-sister, Marjorie Burr.
Funeral services were at the Christian Church, Sublette. Burial was in the Haskell County cemetery in Sublette.
