SENDTKO, Daniel M. of Hemlock, Michigan went to be with his Lord, Monday, September 28, 2009, at age 83 with his cat, Lucky on his lap. The son of the late William and Emma (Kunitzer) Sendtko was born on March 1, 1926, in Saginaw. He grew up in Saginaw, graduated from Arthur Hill High School. He married Leona L. Weiss on October 23, 1948. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2005. He worked in his father's dairy, drove trucks and for 30 years was an accountant at GM's Central Foundry Division. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock. He enjoyed building his own homes, golfing, and in his later years working with stained glass, traveled down south for winter and was a devoted MSU fan. He hoped to see them through to a National Championship. Surviving are six children and their spouses, Cheryl Siedelmann, Mark and Sandra Sendtko, Barb and Delmer Neff, David and Shirley Sendtko, Gwen Kern, Scott and Sara Sendtko; eight grandchildren, Bob and Fred Mosby, Peter (Sara Shaw) Sendtko, Matthew Dukarski, Glenn and Jacob Kern, Scott, Jr., and Ginger Sendtko; two great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Eleazar Dukarski; one sister, Ida Fiebig; sister-in-law, Ruth M. (Donald) Wagner-Belisle; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Sendtko; sisters, Esther Sendtko, Martha Koch; son - in - law, Jim Siedelmann; and granddaughter - in - law, Becky Sendtko. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 Raucholz Rd., Hemlock. The Rev. Richard Mundt will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., then at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
