Services for Selma Redella McGinnis, of Raymond, were held at 1:30 this afternoon in the First United Presbyterian Church there. The Rev. Herbert Goeltzer officiated. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery. Plummer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be directed to the First United Presbyterian Church of Raymond or the Asbury Cemetery Association. Mrs. McGinnis died at 11:15 a.m. Friday, November 13, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 94 years old on August 7. A farmwife and homemaker, she was a 50 year member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Raymond, also a 50 year member and past matron of Rosalind chapter 736 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Raymond Home Arts Club. She was a graduate of Girard High School.Daughter of Edward and Grace Blyler Lively, she marriedH.P. McGinnis on December 25, 1923, in Nilwood. He died December 28, 1992. Surviving are a son, Harry E. McGinnis and wife Ruth of Raymond; two grandchildren, Cathy Elledge and husband Rusty, James McGinnis and wife Linda all of Edgewater, Fla.; seven great grandchildren, Erik and Aaron Ellege, Amy Collins, Andrea Hallas, April McGinnis, Amanda McGinnis and James McGinnis, Jr.; one great great grandson and one step great great granddaughter. Preceding her in death were a brother, Ellsworth Liveley and a granddaughter, Carliene McGinnis.
