Danny W. Murr, 49, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010, at his residence.

He was born May 29, 1961, in Franklin to William Albert Murr and Jeanne (Steck) Murr. He was a 1979 graduate of Center Grove High School. He was a machine operator for Capital Tool and Die in Indianapolis for 17 years.

Survivors include his son, Christopher Q. Murr and his wife, Lea, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a granddaughter, Madelyn Murr; his father and stepmother, William Albert and Patricia Murr of Franklin; two sisters, Debby (Jynx) Jenkins and Donna (Don) Cherry, both of Greenwood; two nieces, Kelly (Juan) Santos of Greenwood and Karey (Billy) DeHaven of Indianapolis; and a former spouse, Agnes Murr of Franklin, and her children, Erin Brown and Elisha Willetts.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne (Steck) Murr, on June 26, 1996.

The Rev. Larry McAdams will conduct a funeral service at 6 p.m. Thursday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (U.S. 31 South) in Franklin. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.
