Mrs. Joanna F. Baska, 79, of 2569 Fortieth, wife of Joseph P. Baska, died Wednesday in Faith Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 18, 1894, in Alpena, and had lived here since 1918.
She and Baska ere married Feb. 18, 1919, in Port Huron. He owns Marcotte Disposal Company.
Mrs. Baska is survived by her husband; a son, Patrick J. Baska, Emmett; a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Clute, Carson City, Mich.; a brother, John Ceglarek, Alpena; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Hatch, Alpena, and Mrs. Mary Piper, Dunedin, Fla.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The remains are in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Rev. James Opferman, associate pastor of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
