G, and honorably discharged with his company June 25, 1865. He was among the last group of Yorkers to enter the service and thus did not serve long enough to qualify for a service pension.
He married Elizabeth Schlag May 16, 1869, and fathered Elmira Margaret (b. 10/01/69 - married Jeremiah E. Snyder), George Michael (b. 12/12/71), Thomas F. (b. 05/13/73), and Urias Sylvester (b. 04/16/79).
