MARGARET KATHERINE (HAAS) - MARTIN - RING 1876-1948

Mrs. Margaret Katherine Ring, 76, of 802 East Eleventh Street in Scottsbluff, died Saturday [Dec 25, 1948] evening in a Scottsbluff hospital. She was born Aug 2, 1876 at Franzozen, Russia. In 1895 at Franzozen, Russia, she married Adam Martin, who died Jan. 5, 1940, at Bayard. She came to the United States in 1914, and she had lived in the North Platte River Valley since 1915. On June 23, 1941, at Scottsbluff, she married Jacob Ring, who survives. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Jake Martin of Bayard; two brothers; Carl Haas of Bayard, and Adam Haas of Minatare; two stepsons, George Ring and Henry Ring of Scottsbluff; 10 stepdaughters; Mrs. Philip Schwartz, Mrs. Henry Rein, and Mrs. Walter Fegler of Scottsbluff, Mrs. Charles Reisig of Gering, Mrs. Fred Fertig of Minatare, Mrs. Jacob Grasmick of Cheyenne, Mrs. Reuben Reisig of Windsor, Colo., and Mrs. Victor Hoffman, Mrs. Manuel Martin, and Mrs. Gottlieb "Scotty" Martin of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Zion Evangelical Church, with Rev. H. Baumgaertel officiating. Burial will be made in Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff.
