Mrs. Clarence Bailey
Mrs. Edith R. Bailey, 80 of the Minerva Convalescent Center, a former Salem resident died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Alliance City Hospital. She had lived in the convalescent center three years.
Born Sept. 1, 1893 in Bucks Co., Pa., she was the daughter of Harry and Emma Betts Bailey. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Salem Senior Citizens.
She married Clarence Bailey, and he died in 1956.
Surviving are a son Clyde of Salem; a sister, Mrs Mary Smith of Salem; and 13 grandchildren and seven greatchildren. A son, Lynn, died in 1959.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Stark Memorial, with Rev. Victor Jacobs of the First United Methodist Church in charge.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
