Peter H. Boe, 74, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 1935, at his home on West 11th Street in Yankton.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 5, at Schenk Funeral Home in Yankton. Burial will be in Walshtown Cemetery, rural Walshtown, South Dakota.

Peter Heinrich Boe was born March 31, 1861, in Strukkamp, Island of Fehmarn, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the son of Hinrich and Margaretha (Heldt) Boe. He immigrated with his family to a farm in Jackson County, Iowa in 1880. In 1881, the family moved to a farm in Yankton County, South Dakota. He used the name Peter Henry Boe during his lifetime. He married Mary H. Todt on November 29, 1894, in Yankton County. Together they farmed near Walshtown, until they retired and moved to Yankton.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Flora (Alfred) Utke; one son, Harry Boe; two sisters, Gertrude Boe and Margaret Boe; and one brother, George Boe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
