WALTER CRESSMAN
Walter Cressman, 81 a resident of Brandonville, went to be with his Lord early Friday morning.

A life long resident of Brandonville, he was born on Sept 26, 1927, the son of the late Andrew and Mabel (Seltzer) Cressman.

He was a 1945 graduate of the Sheppton High School. He served in the US Army Air Force as a chief clerk for the 600th Air Engineer Squadron, earning the Army Occupational Medal and the WW II Victory Medal for his service in Japan.

Walter was a member of the Brandonville Fire Company, and a member of the Frackville F&AM Lodge # 737.

He was employed by Hutt's Glass in Gilbertsville prior to retiremen and was a lifelong member of the Glazier's Union Local 252.

A member of the Aurand United Methodist Church in Ringtown, he served as chairman of the Board of Trustees and as World Service Fund Treasurer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son Jon, a brother Joseph, and a sister Helen Dentinger.

He is suvived by his wife of 60 years, Alma (Strausser) Cressman. Two daughters, and a son also survive: Sallie Dura and her husband Rich; Cindy and her husband Curt VanBlargan; Andy and his wife Kathy Cressman. Six grandchildren, Christine Dura, Lisa Acker, Richie Dura, Michael Baum, Karine and Adam Cressman. 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandsons also survive.

His son, Andy Cressman and Pastor Craig Zimmerman will conduct a Funeral Service at 2 PM on Monday afternoon at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday evening from 7-9 PM, and again on Monday afternoon from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.

Private interment services will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Ringtown.
