Kenneth Edgar, 87 of Perry Oklahoma was the son of William Henry & Etta Belle (Ohls) Edgar.
He was born July 10, 1918 at Lucien, Oklahoma and died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at his home.
Kenneth and Ila Maud Friend were married on April 13, 1940 in Perry, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 1984.
He and Rita Nida were marrried Feb. 10, 1989 in the First Assembly of God Church in Perry Oklahoma. He was a farmer and rancher. Kenneth was a member of the First Christian at Ceres Oklahoma.
He enjoyed baseball, quail and coon hunting and spending time with family, friends and his dog, "Rusty."
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 4 2006 at the First Assembly of God Church in Perry Oklahoma.
In addition to his wife, Rita, survivors are one son Carlin Edgar; four grandsons, Corey Edgar, Steve Edgar, Bill Edgar, & Jeff Edgar. five great-grandchildren, Chris Edgar, Cody Edgar, Corisa Edgar, Alisha Edgar & Joshua Edgar. One brother Earl Edgar, two sisters, Henrietta Beckner, and Ruby Spier, nine-stepchildren, Jean Rutherford, Barbara Summerall, Roland Nida, Shari Golay, Annette Wertzberger, Robert Nida, Judy Goin, Mike Nida, & Carl Nida, and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Ila Maud, an infant daughter, one son Kenneth Keith Edgar, three brothers, William Paul Edgar, Harry Sanford Edgar, and Jerry Dee Edgar, and three sisters, Betty Knox, Rosa Lee Nelson, and Burnice Stevison.
