Harry suffered a stroke and fell beside his bed, fracturing his hip on 19 May 1959. He was taken to DePaul Hospital where he died 36 hours later.
At the time of his death, Harry was 73 years, 5 months and 26 days old. He was buried on 23 May 1959 and was survived by his wife, Alma, who passed away in 1978.
