Windsor Review, Windsor, MO - G. F. Scheele was born March 21, 1824, in Germany and died at his home in Windsor on October 8, 1912. Mr. Scheele came to America when he was 23 years old and located first in St. Louis, Mo. Here he was married to Miss Minnie Palmscheck with whom he lived happily until death called her from his side in 1868, leaving him with two children, to mourn her departure. In 1869 he was again married to Miss Caroline Greife. To this union were born six children, two having died in infancy. The surviving children are William and Harry Scheele of Roseland, Mrs. Yattie Odle of Colesburg and Mrs. Carrie Hartle of Palo Pinto. These with their mother remain to mourn the departure of the devoted husband and kind and affectionate father. In 1879 Mr. Scheele, with his family, located near Mount Olivet, where he resided until about 4 years ago, when he moved to Windsor to live in retirement and enjoy the rest of the evening time of a long and useful life. He united with the Baptist church at Mr. Olivet in 1880 and was ever a faithful member of this church until the end came on Tuesday morning, Oct. 12, 1912 at 3 o'clock. Without warning the silent messenger came and took him away. He was prepared to go. The funeral was conducted from the Baptist church by Rev. T. M. McDonnell on Wednesday afternoon and he was buried in Laurel Oak Cemetery.
