"CALEDONIA – John M. Klinkhamer, one of the pioneer German settlers of Caledonia Township, died Tuesday, aged 72 years.
Deceased had been a resident of the section where he lived for thirty-five years and was widely known as an honest man and progressive farmer. Mr. Klinkhamer lived to see the wild and desolate country developed into one of the richest agricultural localities of Wisconsin and the city of Racine second to no other as a manufacturing center.
Four daughters and four sons survive to mourn his death.
The funeral of the late John M. Klinkhamer will be held from the residence at 9 o'clock Saturday morning and from St. Louis Church, Caledonia, at 10 o'clock."
