MRS. JULIA HAECKER DIES AT BERNE
Death Occurs This Morning And Funeral Sunday At Berne
Mrs. Julia Anna Haecker, 70, died at her home at Berne at three o'clock this morning following an illness of seven months from complications. She suffered an attack of flu last March and had been in poor health since that time.
Mrs. Haecker was born in Nottingham township, Wells county on June 2, 1860, the daughter of Matthew and Mary Ann Leist Long. She was married on December 24, 1882 to Emanuel T. Hacker [sic].
Surviving are the husband, two daughters, Violet E., of Berne; and Mrs. Naomi Sprunger of Fort Wayne; two foster-children, Mrs. Clella Gottschalk and Forest Brickley, of Fort Wayne, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Haecker, Wells county. One daughter, four sisters and a brother are deceased.
The funeral services will be held at the Evangelical church at Berne, at two o'clock Sunday afternoon in charge of rev. I. O. Roederer.
