GERTRUDE E. EVANSKI

BELLEVILLE - Gertrude Eleanore Anne Evanski, 75, of Belleville who was born in Waltz, died Saturday in her home.

Services will be held at 9:15 A.M. Tuesday in the David C. Brown Funeral Home and at 10 A.M. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas H. Cusick will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Born Feb 11, 1923, in Waltz, she was the daughter of Anthony and Anna (Brudzinski) Krzeminski. She married Robert Steffen Evanski on May 19, 1945 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, New Boston.

She was employed as a cook by Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville plant until retiring in 1990.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she assisted with funeral luncheons. She and her husband also enjoyed ballroom dancing. She attended Willow Schools until the eighth grade and later became the only honorary Belleville High School graduate in 1995.

Surviving are her husband; five sons, Robert (Carol) of Belleville, Daniel (Susan) of Whitmore Lake, Steven of Ann Arbor, Charles of Texas and Gerard (Maria) of Waterford; five daughters, Sandra Evanski of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Paul (Gertrude) Roddick of Virginia, Mrs. Gary (Doretta) Hawkins of Lincoln Park, Deborah Johnson of Belleville and Mrs. Reed (Patricia) Jarrell of Virginia; 20 grandchildren, and a great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, ten brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
