Fred C. 'Pe-Paw' Wyatt, 80 of Asheville, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, in a local hospital.
A native of Madison County, he lived in Buncombe County most of his life. He was former co-owner of the Biltmore Spur service station and triangle Texaco. He was currently associated with Payless Video of Swannanoa. He was the son of the late Robert and Ellen Wheeler Wyatt and was married to Paulina Dodd who died in 1982.
He is survived by two daughters, Emma Lee Edwards of Taylor, Mich., and Billie Maxine Schalow of Weaverville; three sons, Kermit M. and Charles D. Wyatt, both of Asheville, and Roy "Kenneth" Wyatt of Weaverville; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at West Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Dodd officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Charles Wyatt.
