Randall L. Clark, 75, of Brooklyn, IA, a former resident of Des Moines, died Thursday, January 10th, 2008, in a motor vehicle accident three miles west of Brooklyn on highway US 6.
Funeral services for Randall Clark were held at 11 AM, Monday, January 14, 2008, at the Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn, IA. Pastor Rodney Horrigan of Lighthouse Revival Church officiated. Interment was in Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines.
A memorial fund has been established.
Randall Lewis Clark was born December 13, 1932, in Des Moines, IA. His parents were Lewis Randall Clark and Zerelda Hon Clark.
He was married to Janiece Ann Brown on October 4, 1952, in Des Moines, IA. They were the parents of four children, Randy, Brenton, Dennis and Karen. Randall received his education in Des Moines attending North High. He was employed for many years as a diesel mechanic for MTA of Des Moines.
In 1976 they moved to Brooklyn. Mrs. Clark died in 1996.
He served with the US Air Force from February 1, 1950 to January 31, 1954.
Randall was a member of several camping clubs and the American Legion of Brooklyn.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and tinkering around his house and cars.
His parents; his wife, Janiece; and two sisters, Janet Cunningham and Rosemary Clalrk, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his children, Randy Clark of Des Moines, IA, Brenton Clark of Harvey, IA, Dennis Clark and his wife, Rita, of West Des Moines; one daughter, Karen Garringer and her husband, Tim, of Brooklyn, IA; two brothers, Richard Clark of Des Moines, IA, and Robert Clark of Council Bluffs, IA; eleven grandchildren, Melanie Brauer, Meliha Clark, Brenton Clark II, Janine Clark, Kelly Clark, Amanda Clark, Eric Garringer, Amy Garringer, Matthew Garringer, Dallas Clark and Nicholas Clark; and two great grandchildren, Tristan Garringer and Taelyn Garringer.
