Simon Wilson Dismukes died Sunday, November 26, at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital following a stroke suffered that morning at the Golden Age Nursing home. Services were held Monday at the Kilmichael Methodist Church, of which he was a member, with Rev. Kenneth Sissell and Rev. A. Hatten of Kilmichael and Rev. J. A. Wade of Slate Springs officiating. Interment was in Vaiden Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Dismuke was born January 27, 1876, in Carroll County. His wife, the former Jessie Short, preceded him in death. He was a member of the first graduating class of Millsaps College.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. A. D. Vaughn and Mrs. Curtis Allen, Greenwood, Mrs. S. J. McNeil, Memphis, Mrs. W. E. William, Jackson, and Mrs. Parker McCabe, Oak Grove, La., and two sons, W. T. Dismukes, Clarksdale and William Dismukes, Kilmichael.
