Johanna P. Freiberger was born at Jeffriesburg, Mo., on Jan. 2, 1891, the daughter of the late Edwin Hermann and his wife, Elizabeth, nee Gehlert and passed away at the Sunset Nursing Home in Union, Mo., on Saturday, Jan. 10, 1987, in her 96th year. She received her schooling in the Jeffriesburg area in the St. Jordan's Church school and grew to young womanhood in this community. On April 20, 1921 she was united in marriage to Mr. Herbert C. Freiberger in St. Jordan's Church.

They made their home on a farm and two sons were born to this marriage. Mrs. Freiberger was a life long member of St. Jordan's Church and had been active in the Women's Guild of the church. For many years she worked in the election polls and also worked with her husband with the Jeffriesburg Mutual Fire Insurance Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Freiberger on Sept. 10, 1984 and also by a brother, Emil Hermann.

Those who survive are her two sons, Harold Freiberger and his wife, Phylis of St. Louis County, Mo., and Kenneth Freiberger and his wife, Arlone of Leslie, Mo. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Interment followed in St. Jordan's Cemetery.
