Mary Ann Steinbach, 77, of Hillsboro died June 22, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Steinbach was a homemaker and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in De Soto. She was a member of WELCA and of the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Born Feb. 18, 1933, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late George and Jewel I. (Douglas) Bauman.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lorenz Emil Steinbach of Hillsboro; four children: Fern (Russ) Bowder of Jefferson City, Doris (Ernie) Rex of St. Charles, Ill., Sandra (Gary) Lindsey of Hillsboro and Nancy Leonard of Windy hills, Fla.; one brother, George (Donna) Bauman of Hillsboro; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 25 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, officated by the Rev. Dr. G. Michael Rose. Burial was in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 9374 Olive Blvd., Ste 101, St. Louis, 63132; or to JRMC hospice, 5 Industrial Drive, Crystal City, 63019. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral home in De Soto.
