Christine Camp was born in Tea, SD on April 15, 1925 to John and Hilka (Frerichs) Camp. She moved to rural Lennox in 1939, graduating from Lennox High School in 1942.
She married Harold Klock on April 20, 1944 and lived in the Chancellor area all her married life.
In 1970 she graduated from Southern State College (magna cum laude) and taught elementary school in Parker and in Chancellor until retiring in 1983. Christine and Harold then made five trips to visit extended family in Germany. Christine led many Child Evangelism Clubs and Sunday School classes. She was an avid gardener and gifted painter and seamstress. She crocheted over ninety surname wall hangings and made over thirty baby quilts and numerous lap robes for the Good Samaritan Home.
Christine was preceded in death by her brother Henry in 1948, her mother Hilka in 1980, her father John in 1991 and her husband Harold Klock on December 20, 2009.
Grateful for having shared her life are her sons: Mark Klock and his wife, Martha, of Cloverdale, IN and Morris Klock of Minneapolis, MN; daughters: Charleen DeGia and her husband, Philip, of Shakopee, MN and Cheri Lewis and her husband, Barry, of Madison, WI; ten grandchildren: Michael DeGia, Meredith Barth, Jeffrey Klock, Patricia Omoqui, Jason Webster, Michael Webster, Rachel Luther, Carol Malloy, Timothy Klock and Lori Jean Klock; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Ludwig Camp of Harrisburg and sister-in-law: Emma Klock of Sioux Falls.
Services will begin 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31 at Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home, Lennox, SD with burial in the Chancellor Baptist Cemetery.
