Peter Badje Died Friday Morning

Peter N. Badje, age 64, died Friday morning at 5:30, May 1, at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He had been in failing health for two years, and had been at the Veterans hospital since January, previous to that had been a patient at the Sartori hospital in Cedar Falls.

He was born May 4, 1889, at Holland, Iowa, son of Carl and Minnie Meier Badje. He was married to Miss Rosa Walter of Dike March 14, 1914, and they made their home at Titonka for four years. He was a veteran of World War I, having enlisted in 1918 and served in England and France.

The family came to Dike in 1928 and Mr. Badje was employed by the town of Dike. He leaves besides his widow, two children, Mrs. Harold Dall of Cedar Falls and Peter Jr. at home. Two grandchildren, Charlye and Bruce Dall of Cedar Falls. Two sisters, Mrs. Millie Phelps of Pomona, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Snittjer of Wellsburg. One brother, John Badje, Buffalo Center, Iowa. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at the Dike Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. L. J. Runion officiating. Burial at the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike.
