Geroge was a son of George N. & Helen Irene Laird Grasser. On July, 1970, in Emporium, he married Mary Anna Hedgeland, who survives.
George had lived in Emporium since 1953. He graduated from St. Mary's HS with the Class of 1952 & had been a tool and die maker at GTE Sylvania for 40 yrs. He was presently serving as Administrator of Emporium Moose Lodge #368.
He was a member and Administrator of Loyal Order of Moose #368, May Hollow Sportsmen's Club, President of the May Hollow Hunt Club, member of Renovo BPO Elks #334, Renovo Aerie Eagles Club, Sinnemahoning Sportsmen's Club & the Sylvania Quarter Century Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Shelly Ann (Douglas) Yearick of Centerville, VA, Stacy (George) Glossner of Winchester, VA., Kelly (Mark) Dennis of Mars; two stepdaughters, Cynthia (Robert) Probst of North Bend, Brenda (Timothy) Brown of Beaver; two sons, Robert N. (Tracey) Grasser of North Carolina, George Curtis Grasser of Williamsport; one stepson Brian (Ginger) Long of Baltimore, MD.; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Distler of Hinkley, Ill., Sharon (Craig) Underwood of Jamestown, NY, two brothers, James (Nancy) Grasser and Dennis (Patricia)Grasser, both of Emporium.
