Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Caroline Mohs, 95, who died Tuesday at Pine Villa Care Center.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society and the Schanhaar-Otte VFW Auxiliary Post 7050 will have services at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Melrose followed by parish prayers at 8.
Caroline Mohs was born in Melrose to Carl and Bernadina (Tieman) Uhlenkamp. She moved from Milwaukee to Melrose in 1935. She worked for Melrose Produce, later Jennie-O, for 25 years. She then worked in Sauk Rapids for five years. She retired in 1966. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose, Schanhaar-Otte VFW Auxiliary Post 7050 and St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice Hiltner of Waite Park, and Jeanette Dierkhising of New Brighton; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her son, Melvin; and sisters and brothers, Catherine Allen, Rose Kuhlmann, Joseph and Al.
