Richard Kechter

Richard G Kechter, 74, of Loveland, died Saturday, Oct 7, 2000, at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery with Military Honors from the American Legion George Beach Post #4 V.W.F. and D.A.V.

Richard Kechter was born Oct 9, 1925 in Wellington to George Kechter Jr. and Louise Bath Kechter.

Mr. Kechter served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He received the World War II Victory Ribbon, Combat Infantry Badge, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Purple Heart.

He married Mary Ann Buchert on March 16, 1950, in Dodge City, Kan.

Mr. Kechter lived in the Fort Collins area most of his life.

He was an auto parts and real estate salesman.

He belonged to American Legion George Beach Post #4.

Survivors include his wife, two brothers, Vernon and Harvey Kechter of Fort Collins and a sister, Edna Fritzler of Laramie, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Kechter and Lawrence Kechter and a sister, Lucille Sipes.
