Newport, NH - Our beloved, Susie M. Landsiedel, passed away at the New London Hospital on August 3, 2010 peacefully with her family by her side. Susie was born in New York City on January 14, 1914. She grew up in Mamaroneck, NY and spent most of her life there. That is where she met her loving husband, John. She was a lady of all trades, a homemaker, a world traveler, a nuturing, compassionate wife and mother. She retired to her vacation home on Lake Sunapee, NH in 1978 where she spent countless hours enjoying the beauties of nature and lakeside. Her water's edge dock is a place some call heaven. Her adventurous self took her deep under the ocean with her husband in a submarine to leaving footprints in all cultures and different continents of the world. She truly is a definition of living life to the fullest. Her presence will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Bette Gagnon and husband, Jerry of Mamaroneck, NY; son, John and wife, Debi Landsiedel of Stamford, CT and daughter-in-law, Martha Landsiedel of Raleigh, NC. She has six grandchildren, Nicole Gagnon Anello, Jeffrey Gagnon, John C. Landsiedel, Laura Landsiedel, Elizabeth Landsiedel Etemad and Lisa Keusch and ten great grandchildren. She is now at peace with her husband John, son Bill, parents, siblings and many other loved ones. As one of her last words were, "Life is short, death is near, so kick up your heels and have some fun."
