He was born in Erie on January 23, 1919, the son of the late Anton and Victoria Dompkowska Chrzanowski.
Mr. Chrzanowski served with the U.S. Navy in World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a retired employee of General Electric Co. and was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. He belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Preceding him in death were a son, Richard Chrzanowski; three brothers, Joseph, Stanley, and Leo Chrzanowski; five sisters, Mary Albrecht, Stella Kaliszewski, Helen Zawisza, Gladys Lata, and Mildred Novel.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Laura Napierkowski Chrzanowski; a son, Norbert Chrzanowski of Erie; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Christine) Church of Erie; a brother, Chester Chrzanowski of Erie; a sister, Veronica Golembiewski of Erie; five granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home, East 21st and Ash Streets, on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and attend a service there on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2220 Reed Street, Erie.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
