Mrs. Frances E. Irwin, 66, of 1544 41st St., Rock Island, was dead on arrival at Moline Lutheran Hospital, Moline, about 2:30 yesterday afternoon, from an apparent heart attack.
Services will be at 3 Monday afternoon in Memorial Heights Methodist Church, Rock Island, with the Rev. Donald R. Lemkau officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Friends may call after 2 tomorrow in the Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, where Eastern Star services will be at 7 tomorrow night.
Mrs. Irwin, the former Frances Elizabeth Lyons, was born in Cuba, Ill. She was married to Paul R. Erwin on Aug. 21, 1920 in Moline. He died October 24, 1945.
She had been a resident of Rock Island for 46 years, moving here from Cuba, and had been employed at the Rock Island Arsenal, until her retirement in 1962. She was a charter member and past president of VFW Auxilliary 1303 of Rock Island.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Schafer at home and Miss Wynona Erwin of Rock Island; a son, Paul D. Erwin of Rock Island; 10 grandsons, and a brother, Bernard Lyons of Cuba, Ill.
