Will Getz and Miss Ella Bergt gave their many friends and relatives a big surprise on Saturday when they went to Lincoln where they were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. They returned that night and are at home now on the groom's farm, two miles south of the Kiowa Church. The Journal along with their many friends wish them happiness and unbounded prosperity.

William Frederick Charles Getz was born Nov. 26, 1897, on a farm northwest of Deshler, where he lived all his life. He was baptized Nov. 29th, the same year. After due instruction, he was confirmed March 31, 1912. In the year 1921, he was united in marriage to Miss Ella Bergt, at Lincoln, Nebraska.

Mr. Getz passed from this life on Wednesday, July 5, 1933, in the hospital at Alexandria, Nebraska, at the age of 35 years, 7 months, and 9 days. The cause of his death was liver and kidney trouble and pernicious anemia.

He leaves to mourn his death, his widow, Ella Getz, nee Bergt; a son, Eugene Dale; his widowed mother, Friederika (sic) Getz, nee Heinrichs; one brother, Charles Getz; two sisters, Amanda Bohling, and Minnie Frosh, of North Platte, Nebr., and a large number of other relatives and friends.

One sister died in infancy, and his father, Charles Getz, died May 26, 1921.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, from the home and Bethlehem Lutheran church (sic), at Kiowa. The Rev. J. Meyer, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran church (sic), delivered a German sermon, his text being Isaiah 54, 10, and the Rev. O.H.
