Raymond A. Bloemer, 89, died March 15, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 21, 1917, in Effingham, IL, son of the late Clem and Elizabeth Busher Bloemer, he attended Miner Baptist Church and was owner and operator of Bloemer's Grocery from 1951 until his retirement in 1994.
On June 29, 1940, in Effingham, he married Dorothy Bailey who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Sandy Bloemer and Ron and Jo Ann Bloemer; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Monje; one brother, Eugene Bloemer; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation was until time of funeral services at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson, senior pastor of Miner Baptist Church, and the Rev. Ron Shrum, senior adult minister of Miner Baptist Church, officiated.
Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
