Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Marie (Dickhaus) Hinnenkamp will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 20 at St Mary's Cartholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Mothers and the Catholic Order of Foresters will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Marie Dickhaus was born April 18, 1924 in Melrose MN to Fred and Bertha (Herzog) Dickhaus.
She married Herbert P Hinnenkamp on November 14, 1944 in Melrose. Marie lived and worked in St Cloud after marriage until moving to Spring Hill where she raised her family from 1949 to 1979. She lived in Little Falls from 1979 until their retirement in 1986 at which time they returned to their roots in Melrose. Marie has been a resident of Country Manor in Sartell for the past two years where she forged many great friendships with fellow residents.
Marie was a very loving mother whose number one passion was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed bowling, sewing, playing cards and watching Minnesota Twins baseball. Marie was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose, the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Ordsr of Foresters.
Marie is survived by her sons and daughters, Judy (Art) Winter of Cold Spring, Everett (Kathy) Hinnenkamp of Mandan ND, Ron (Patti) Hinnenkamp of Long Prairie, Elaine (Jim) Moscho of Sartell, Deborah (Scott) Goehring of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tim Hinnenkamp of Sartell, David Hinnenkamp of St Cloud, Carla (Jeff) Allen of Cambridge and Scott (Jodee) Hinnenkamp of St Cloud; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Helen Blommel of Melrose, Alma Frieler of Albany, Monica Ahrens of Melrose, Vernon (Betty) Dickhaus of Melrose, Corrine (Jim) Shay of The Villages, Florida, and Karen (John) Callahan of Coon Rapids.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Herb on July 7 2005; parents; infant daughter, Mary; brothers Henry and Alcuin Dickhaus and sister, Irene Poepping.
Serving as casket bearers will be Troy Winter, Dustin Hinnenkamp, Mitchell Hinnenkamp, Adam Hinnenkamp, Jonathon Allen and Nick Hinnenkamp. Cross bearer will be Melanie Mueffelmann and scripture bearer will be Kim Finney. Honorary bearers will be the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
