Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Rita A. Jansky, age 80, of Waite Park will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Rita died on August 28, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. The Rev. Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum.
Family and friends may call between 4-8 pm on Monday and after 9:30 am on Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Holy Spirit parish prayers will be at 5:30 pm on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Rita was born on Nov. 11, 1929 in St. Cloud to Harry and Clara (Bernauer) Beumer. She married Norman J. Jansky on Sept. 12, 1953 in St. Mary's Cathedral. She and her husband lived in St. Cloud for over 30 years where they owned and operated Jansky's Plumbing and Heating. Upon their retirement they moved to their lake home in Kimball. Her last residence was in Waite Park.
Rita treasured her family above all and will be remembered as a wonderful cook.
Survivors include her children: Jean (Bill) Arndt of St. Cloud, Rick (Jo Schaefer) of Kimball, Jo (Duane) Wold of Monticello and Mark (Mary) of Kimball, grandchildren: Dayna, Craig, Derek, Jennifer, Mady, and Mitchell and brother Donald Beumer of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1996, sister Renee and brother Jack.
Memorials are preferred.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Guardian Angels of Elk River and the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice for their wonderful care.
