Eileen graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 1941. She worked for Scobell Heating and Cooling, retiring in 1999. She was a founding member of St. Luke Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society and the St. Luke School PTA. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Schaaf, whom she married April 27, 1946, and who died in 1984; and a son, Lee Schaaf, in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Hirsch and her husband, Mike, of Erie; two sons, Thomas Schaaf of Erie and William J. Schaaf and his wife, Beth, of Waterford; a daughter-in-law, Mary Schaaf of Erie; nine grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
