OBITUARY

Mr. William M. Hedrick was born January 6, 1858 at Buckhorn, Ill., where he spent his early life.

He was married to Lissie M. Moore, January 4, 1880. Two children were born to this union and they remained in Illinois until 1898 when the family moved to Oklahoma and have continued their home here since that time.

He was converted and joined the Methodist Church at Buckhorn, Illinois, at the age of 22 years.

Since moving to Oklahoma he has been engaged in the Grocery Business in Nardin, Oklahoma, the great part of his time until about nine years ago he retired from the business but he still held the friendship of the many people with whom he came in touch.

He was persistently honest and fair in his dealings with his fellow man, and has always been a kind and loving father and husband.

He has always been physically fit to take care of his business affairs until his late illness which was of short duration when he passed away at his home, January 20, 1929 at the age of 71 years and 14 days.

He leaves to mourn him, his widow, Lissie M. Hedrick, two children, Mrs. Mabel F. Marrett of El Paso, Texas and Harry A. Hedrick of Nardin, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Dr. Rolland L. Marrett and Mrs. Maureen Hamilton, of El Paso, Texas and Miss Thais M. Hedrick of Nardin, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Junior and Wayne Lee, of El Paso, Texas; one brother A. Hedrick, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Harris of Denton, Texas and Mrs. Lizzie Ritter, of Jacksonville, Illinois.

A host of friends join with the relatives in their grief and offer our sincere sympathy many times coming from similar experience.

In the midst of life there is death and we, too are swiftly moving toward that land where grief and sorrow are no more.
