Clara Wilson of Corning died on July 27, 1987 at the Creston Manor Care Center.
Services were held July 29 at the Larkin Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Schroeder officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Corning. A memorial has been established in her name.
Clara was born on July 15, 1898 to Henry and Margaret (Tadge) Johannes in Adams County. In November of 1917 she married Mose Dean Wilson in Carbon. She was a member of the Forest Hill Baptist Church in Mount Etna and then the First Baptist Church in Corning. She worked at Luvstad's in Corning after the death of her husband. She has lived in the Creston Manor Care Center since September 1983.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Ambrose of Creston; a granddaughter, three great-grandchildren; a brother, Harvey Johannes of Massena and a sister, Alma Frederick of West Branch.
