Mrs. Laura Plum, of Jackson, Minn., and formerly of the Waverly community, died Friday, Feb. 3rd, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Koffron, at Jackson. She had been bedfast for eight years, after suffering a stroke.
Deceased was born at Berlin, Ill., January 10, 1874, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Gorman. She resided in the Berlin locality with her parents until her marriage to Henry Plum on February 9, 1897. Mr. and Mrs. Plum farmed near Waverly until 1919, when they moved to Jackson County, Minn., where they farmed in that community until 1936, then they moved into the city of Jackson, Minn.
Mrs. Plum was a member of the Christian church while she lived in Illinois, and attended the Methodist church in Jackson as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Plum, of Jackson, Minn.; two daughters, Mary, Mrs. Frank Koffron, and Jeanette, Mrs. Dewey Day of Fresno, Calif.; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nephews and nieces, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Ralph, five sisters and one brother.
The remains were brought to the Wiese Funeral Home in Waverly, where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Howard Fisher, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was in East cemetery.
