Services Held At Lengby Monday For Mrs. Louise Hilliard
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Hilliard were held Monday Aug. 5, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lengby. The Rev. David Lillegard of Trail officiated and the Pederson Funeral Home of Fosston was in charge of arrangements.
Louise Wangerin Hilliard was born Oct. 4, 1877, to Edward and Johannah Wangerin in Germany. She came with her parents as a very small child to Parkers Prairie, Minn., where she was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran church, and attended school.
She was united in marriage with Herbert Hilliard Aug. 24, 1898, at Fosston, and have, since made their home in Lengby.
Mrs. Hilliard passed away Aug. 1, 1968, at the Fosston Nursing home at the age of 90 years, nine months and 27 days.
Left to mourn her passing are one daughter, Mrs. Eva Stave of Lengby, and one foster daughter, Mrs. Russell Ness, of Brainerd, Minn. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two foster grandsons and one brother, Gust Wangerin, of the Wadena Nursing home in Wadena, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Harry, and several sisters and brothers.
